Walking Tours during COVID-19

There is no doubt that the pandemic has, for all of us, changed the way we are spending our summer in 2020. While uncertainty remains as to the viability of oversees travel, there is increasing scope for safe holiday activities within the UK.

As of 30th June, the government has sanctioned the reopening of outdoor sports facilities such as tennis and basketball courts while reiterating that work may be carried out as usual subject to social-distancing guidelines.

The direct guidelines concern the safety of large gatherings which are now permitted between two households, or ‘if outdoors, potentially up to 6 people from different households.’ In this respect, enjoying a private walking tour through the streets and parks of Warwick clearly respects and falls within government guidelines.

For these reasons, we are confident of the safety of our walking tour experience. Walks are typically given to private parties from the same household, are conducted outdoors, and are easily performed with the necessary social distancing.

In sum, don’t let fears around health risks stop you from enjoying Warwick’s history! Take a look at our store and feel free to ask any questions you might have concerning tour management during coronavirus.

Please note that we appreciate that bookings are made 48 hours in advance. Our cancellation policy is that anyone who does not turn up loses their payment. Otherwise, we require 24 hours notice because our tours take time to prepare, as do travel arrangements for our fantastic tour guides!
